Our Botanical Rug Collection, is an exploration into abstraction and randomness, my growing knowledge of the infinite universe that are natural dyes and the colors and patterns one can potentially achieve with printing the actual dye materials onto a surface. The surface is a beautifully hand woven rug which we create with an Indigenous female run cooperative in Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca.

Color: White hand woven cotton with bright yellow, achieved with a parasitic vine used since pre-hispanic times called Zacatlaxcali which I grow in my garden. The orange was achieved by using responsibly foraged moss which had naturally fallen to the forrest bed.
