Creative Textile Workshops with Christina Hattler of Mexchic
Every human is innately creative, sometimes we just need space to explore it. Join contemporary textile artist Christina Hattler of Mexchic in her light-filled garden studio on the rural outskirts of Oaxaca City (Santa María del Tule) and reconnect with your curiosity through making and mindfulness.
Explore ancient traditions and practices through hands-on, contemporary craft-focused workshops. Each session is a journey of inner exploration, where the artistic process itself becomes an act of transformation. These are not works made for others, but offerings for yourself, expressions of the subconscious, manifestations of soul-level desires and dreams released into the world.
What You Can Expect
A relaxed, no-pressure space to expand your curiosity and unlock new creative possibilities. This class invites you to play, explore, and reconnect with your instincts.

Why Learn With Christina
Christina has built her practice and her brand Mexchic by pushing boundaries with materials and process. Having lived and worked in Mexico for over 20 years, she draws inspiration from the country’s raw, unbridled creativity—outside the confines of traditional art and fashion worlds. Playfulness with materiality has become a hallmark of her work.
After years of informally welcoming visitors to her studio, Christina now shares her unique approach through workshops designed to open new doors of creativity for others.
