Materials and Process:

Tunic style huipil dress, made with vintage and antique collaged textiles. This piece has been created in the silhouette of a traditional Mexican ‘huipil’ dress, which is the name used to describe a loose rectangular tunic.

The textile is a collage of 30 plus years of saving extra cuttings from creating bespoke and one of a kind clothing, I have never thrown away the beautiful scraps of antique silks and laces I have collected over the years. And I can look at this collage huipil and tell you what I made with each fabric piece and where it came from.

Memories complied and released.

This is a work of textile art, and can be worn or hung to display on a wall.

Care: Hand Wash in cool water, do not soak, line dry, hand crunch for more wrinkles when damp
