Our Mystic Poncho was created in 2015 with three distinct artisan communities in Mexico. Rebozo weavers in Tenancingo, Rapacejo (macrame fringe) knotters in Malinalco and Indigenous embroiderers in Chenalhó Chiapas, then hand finished in the Mexchic studio.
We only made a limited edition of 25 pieces, this item is ready to ship.
The cotton is exquisitely thin, the fringes are delicate and long, the embroidery is immaculate.
This textile can be worn as a poncho, open at the sides, or wrapped around as one would use a rebozo or a pashmina shawl.
