Presentation / Trunkshow of Collage,
a new collection of one of a kind pieces
The Chelsea Hotel, New York City
What a deeply moving experience this was. I had watery eyes at least 50 times over the course of those three days in seeing so many fabulous friends from my present and past, and so many new supportive faces too. Beautiful shiny humans showing up with open arms and curiosity! As a teeny brand owner, this is my idea of success. Where connection, one-on-one time with clients and friends within a cosy, lovely location, being able to explain my process and show my work and best of all, everyone being able to meet one another! So many spiderwebs connected us all in such strange and wonderful ways. This was one of the best and wildest last minute ideas I've ever managed to pull off!, an experience which proved to me yet again that getting out of my studio bubble into the world, finding community, open arms and familiar smiles is always the right move :)
PS. It’s telling that my initials CH happened to be scattered across the floors and door knobs no? And how perfectly do all the clothes match the decor? This was not planned and it’s totally uncanny!
Thank you to everyone who was able to come out! I know it was rough coming out not only in the hellscape of heat we had that week, but the glorious chaos that was NYC that week: Gay Pride Parade, Taylor Swift’s wedding a few blocks away and the 4th of July celebration of 250 years, it was an ask! Next dates will be easier, promise! I will be holding more of these sporadically, including other cities, so if you are not on the mailing list please sign up to find out where I will be going next!
